There are a lot of great resources in cyberspace
and just around the corner!

These are some of the best:

Genuine reporters looking for real sources! Each day, you'll receive up to three emails, each with anywhere from 15-30 queries per email. They'll all be labeled with [shankman.com] in the subject line, for easy filtering. If you see a query you can answer, go for it! HelpAReporter.com really is that simple.

Chuck shares templates, tutorials, and other creative resources on his website and PagePlane blog; I've been a fan for years!

Relatively inexpensive photos, videos, and illustrations... so very cool stuff for your print and web design projects.

John Jantsch's blog is a great resource for entrepreneurs, he's one of the people I follow on Twitter.

Bill Randall and Traci Gregory are the people I turn to when I want to advertise and publicize an event; good resource for keeping up on local business information.

Before he was my client, Nick asked me to design a site he was writing for another company. Since that project went so well we have teamed up to offer marketing/sales copywriting and web design! You can hire us separately or use both our services and get the site done twice as fast as if you tried to do either part yourself!

I met Nick Burns at a Chamber Business After Hours; I've made numerous contacts through the chamber and learned invaluable information about the region from participating on their Ambassador/Membership Committee.

FreeMind is a free mind-mapping software written in Java. It has a lot of uses, can manage multiple projects, and you can insert hyperlinks & images into it as well - love it!
Audacity® is free, open source software for recording and editing sounds. It is available for Mac OS X, Microsoft Windows, GNU/Linux, and other operating systems. I use it to edit podcasts and music; you can hear a sample at JulieFalatico.com - I edited a selection of her songs into a little sampler there.
Record-Anything is a recorder software for MS Windows. It is probably one of the easiest programs to use and I've been happy with the results. It's only $25, and you can test drive it here.
huey corrects the color on your monitor so photos and designs print more accurately - VERY important in my line of work!
Easy–to–use right out of the box, huey adapts your monitor for changing room lighting and applies your personal preferences for viewing accurate color all of the time.
Paper - paper is important! I go to my local xpedx - Chris is the master of paper! Hammermill Color Copy or Color Copy Cover stock is what I use for most of my print projects.
